Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Monoshiri (operated by Makoto Kobayashi; the “Operator”) establishes this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of information in the application “Monoshiri Memo” for Mac / iPad (the “App”).
Summary
In short
The App handles only the minimum information required to provide its features. Your files are stored in your own Google Drive, and authentication credentials are stored only on your device. We do not perform behavioral analytics, advertising, or provision of data to third parties.
1. Information we handle and purposes
- Google account information — At sign-in, we obtain basic account information such as your email address, for the purpose of displaying the connected account.
- Files on Google Drive — The permission the App requests is
drive.file(a limited scope). The App reads and writes only files it created, or files you explicitly select. It never browses or lists your entire Google Drive. - Authentication tokens — To keep you signed in, a refresh token is stored only on your device (in the App’s configuration area). It is not sent to or stored on the Operator’s servers or any third party.
- External access for link previews — When a document contains an external URL, the App may access that URL to obtain publicly available information for the purpose of generating a preview (showing the title and description).
2. What we do not do
- We do not perform behavioral analytics, tracking, or advertising.
- We do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties.
- We do not transmit or store the contents of your files for any purpose other than those stated above.
3. Data storage and protection
Authentication tokens are stored only on your device. All communication with Google, and any retrieval of external URLs, is performed over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
4. Your controls
You can delete the stored token via the App’s “Disconnect” action. You can also revoke the App’s access at any time from Apps with access to your account in your Google account settings.
5. Third-party services
The App uses Google (Google Drive / Google account) for file storage and authentication. Google’s handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Contact
For inquiries regarding this Policy, please contact us via the contact form.
7. Changes
The Operator may revise this Policy as necessary. The revised Policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.
